Sign Language Bible Translations

You hear quite a bit over time about bible translations here on Christian radio…the use of technology, more church involvement, speeding up the translation process, etc. But what about bible translations for those that cannot hear? Though they may be able to read with their eyes, more and more hearing-impaired groups are recognizing the benefits of bible translations in Sign Languages. Learn more about this exciting area of growth in bible translation this weekend on Missions Today!

“As a five-year-old I remember saying I’m gonna be a missionary one day and I think that God started stirring in my heart a desire for missions from a very early age. Little did I know it would come at age nine as opposed to in adulthood. God called my family to serve in the Philippines when I was nine years old. As I came back to the US after high school and was looking for schooling, one thing always rang in the back of my mind. My parents always said it doesn’t matter what career you go into as long as you are having an impact in the lives of those around you. Wycliffe was always a natural fit and so God opened the door for myself and my wife to serve here. It’s amazing when you look at what we have the opportunity to participate in.”
